China's Pulp Imports in Spring 2008 Rise 53% over Same Period Last Year
BEIJING--May 1, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--China's pulp imports have been increasing rapidly this spring, according to China Customs. The amount of imported pulp in January and February was 1.68 million tons, 33.8% higher compared with the same time last year. In terms of value, the products are worth $1.29 billion, 53.3% higher than spring 2007. The numbers mean China is importing more pulp at a higher price.
