China's Industrial Output Increases 16% in May 2008

BEIJING--June 18, 2008--Researched By Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--In May, industrial output from enterprises above the designated scale (annual sales income of more than $720,000) increased 16.0% compared with the same period last year. The growth rate is 0.3% higher than the rate in the previous month, but 2.1% lower than the rate in the same period of the previous year. The sales ratio of industrial products reached 98.0%, an increase of 0.1% more than the same period last year. Exports of industrial enterprises reached $98.91 billion, an increase of 18.2% year over year, the National Bureau of Statistics of China announced on June 16.
