Huayun Corporation Planning Methanol-to-Olefin Projects in Shanxi Province

BEIJING--June 24, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Huayun Corporation Limited (Shanxi province), specializing in the production of coal and electric power, is planning a methanol-to-olefin (MTO) project with the goal to produce 5 million tons per year of coal, 600,000 tons of methanol, 217,000 tons of MTO products, 100,000 tons of polyethylene and 100,000 tons of polypropylene. The project has been approved by the Development and Reform Committee of Shanxi province, which considers the project as being in compliance with national and provincial industrial development directions. It is expected that the project will cost $656.85 million.
