Albanesi Subsidiary to Add 120 Megawatts to Modesto Maranzana Thermo Plant in Argentina

CORDOBA, ARGENTINA--July 1, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Argentina's Generacion Mediterranea S.A. is in the final stage of a turbine assembly in order to add 120 megawatts (MW) to the Modesto Maranzana Power Station. Two units from Pratt & Whitney Power Systems (East Hartford, Connecticut), a United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX) (Hartford, Connecticut)company, will be installed at the station. The gas turbines will then be converted to combined-cycle mode, along with the existing General Electric (NYSE:GE) (Fairfield, Connecticut) steam turbines.
