SUGAR LAND--July 9, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Plans are in motion by CPS Energy (San Antonio, Texas) to install peaking capacity at the V.H. Braunig Power Station near Elmendorf, Texas. Now with reserve margins shrinking, the company is in the process of adding peaking units to increase capacity by 200 MW. CPS will install four General Electric (NYSE:GE) (Fairfield, Connecticut) combustion turbine generator sets. WorleyParsons Group Incorporated, a division of WorleyParsons Limited (ASX:WOR) (Sydney, Australia), will provide engineering services for the project.
