Vattenfall Formally Commissions Pilot Plant Free of Carbon Dioxide Emissions

GALWAY, IRELAND--September 17, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--After two years of construction and an investment of 70 million euro ($98 million), Vattenfall Europe (XETRA:VTT.DE) (Stockholm, Sweden) formally commissioned a new 30-megawatt (MW) pilot plant on September 9 in Germany, on a site adjacent to the Schwarze Pumpe coal-fired power station near Spremberg in Brandenburg.
