Montreal's Velan Obtains $80 Million of Valve Orders for Nuclear Power Plants
SUGAR LAND--January 19, 2010--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Industrial valve manufacturing company Velan Incorporated (TSX:VLN) (Montreal, Quebec) has secured $80 million worth of orders for the supply of nuclear valves for the 1,820-megawatt (MW) Mochovce Nuclear Power Plant in Slovakia and the Ning De and Hong Yan He plants in China. While the Chinese order will be handled by the company's subsidiary Velan SAS (Lyon, France), the order for the Slovakian plant will be serviced by the company's Canadian operations.
