Lincolnway Energy to Receive Federal Funding to Convert from Coal to Biomass Feedstock

SUGAR LAND--September 10, 2010--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Privately owned Lincolnway Energy LLC (Nevada, Iowa) will receive a $1.9 million grant from the federal government to convert a coal-fired, dry-mill ethanol plant in Nevada, Iowa, to burn biomass feedstock. In June 2008, Congress passed the Farm Bill, aka Public Law 110-246. This bill provided funding for the Department of Agriculture to grant funds to facilities that use coal feedstock to convert to biomass.
