SUGAR LAND--October 26, 2010--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--A significant portion of the annual spending for the Chemical Processing Industry (CPI) this year has come from projects that were delayed from a previous calendar year due to economic and related market influences. So far this year, these capital and maintenance projects account for more than $1 billion in CPI project spending in the United States, and that number is expected to more than double in 2011. Based on active projects being tracked as part of Industrial Info's North American Project Database, more than 111 individual, previously delayed projects valued at an estimated $2.1 billion are expected to begin construction during 2011 in the U.S.
