This initiative is part of Malampaya Phase 4, with drilling of the new wells scheduled to begin in 2025. The consortium has been granted a 15-year extension to extend the life of the field. The Malampaya gas field is the Philippines' only indigenous gas resource, supplying about 20% of largest island Luzon's electricity needs.
