China Guodian's Susong Huagang Windfarm Receives Approval

Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--Guodian Anhui New Energy Investment Company Limited's (Hefei, Anhui) Susong Huagang Windfarm Project was approved by the Development and Reform Commission of the Anhui province on November 28, 2011. This is the first wind power project received by the company, China Guodian Corporation (Beijing) announced on December 8, 2011. It has a total planned capacity of 50 megawatts (MW).

Guodian Susong Huagang Windfarm is in Susong County, in Anqing City. According to the invitation for bids on the supply of wind turbines issued by Guodian Chengxin Tendering Agent Company Limited (Beijing), a subsidiary of China Guodian Corporation, the windfarm will be furnished with 25 wind turbines, each of 2 MW, in late November 2011. Upon completion, the windfarm will have an annual output of about 96 million kilowatt-hours.

As a newly established regional subsidiary of China Guodian Corporation in Anhui, Guodian Anhui New Energy has been actively engaged in searching for excellent wind power resources in Anhui province since the establishment of the company. So far, Guodian Anhui New Energy has signed wind power development agreements with 15 cities in the region, with total reserved wind power resources of about 800 MW. Of this amount, about 500 MW are technically exploitable.

In addition to the approved Huagang Windfarm in Susong, the company also has another three windfarms with a total planned capacity of about 150 MW that have received consent from the Development and Reform Commission of Anhui province to kick off pre-stage preparation: the Baizizhou windfarm in Susong, the Xuqiao windfarm in Taihu county and the Tuanshan windfarm in Shouxian county.
