China's Automobile Production Up in January-June

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--According to data released by ‌the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (‌CAAM)‌, ‌ China's automobile production and sales volume reached 13.891 million and 14.047 million, respectively, in the first half of 2024, increasing by 4.9% and 6.1% year-on-year, respectively.

From January through June, the production and sales of passenger vehicles totaled 11.886 million and 11.979 million, up 5.4% and 6.3% year-on-year, respectively. The production and sales of commercial vehicles totaled 2.005 million and 2.068 million, up 2% and 4.9%, respectively. From January through June, in the field of new energy vehicles, the production and sales volume reached 4.929 million and 4.944 million, respectively, with a year-on-year growth of 30.1% and 32%.
