Energy Transfer Puts Partial Portion of Rover Pipeline into Service - Energy Transfer Partners (NYSE:ETP) announced Thursday the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved its request to put Phase 1A of the Rover natural gas pipeline into service. Phase 1A runs from Cadiz, Ohio, to Defiance, Ohio. (Business Wire)
Colonial Fuel Pipeline Partially Closed - The 5,500-mile Colonial Pipeline, a top transporter of gasoline for the Northeast, has closed part of its line after "the pace of supply" fell from refiners damaged by Hurricane Harvey. (Fuel Fix)
NATURAL GAS
U.S. Lower 48 NatGas Output Rises in June - U.S. gross natural gas output in the lower 48 states rose by nearly 0.8 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) to a high for 2017 of 81.4 Bcf/d in June, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said on Friday. (Reuters)

Energy Secretary Approves Another 3.5 Million Barrels to be Released from Strategic Petroleum Reserve - The U.S. Energy Secretary has approved up to 4.5 million barrels of crude oil to be released from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in response to the impact from Tropical Storm Harvey, a spokeswoman for the Department of Energy said on Friday. That marks an additional 3.5 million barrels on top of the 1 million barrels of oil approved as of Thursday. (Reuters)
