The presentations will focus on project spending activity and market trends in the U.S. and Canada, with special emphasis on the U.S. Northeast and New England market regions. Industrial Info is currently tracking over 1,300 active capital and maintenance projects worth more than $137 billion that are under way or are planned to kick off in these regions.

The chart at right (click to enlarge) shows the $137.7 billion in active projects for these industries being tracked by Industrial Info in the Northeast and New England.

For the next 12 months (Aug. 2012 through July 2013), Industrial Info is currently tracking more than $9 billion in planned Power Industry project starts, as well as Pharma-Biotech Industry projects worth more than $5 billion.

While 2011 showed significant year-over-year growth in project spending, growth in 2012 is declining. The year-over-year rate of growth, while still positive, has gradually tapered off in the first six months of 2012. Our industrial market outlook will help explain some of the movement that we're seeing in these industries.
