Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--Tianjin Electric Power Construction Company Limited (TEPC) (Tianjin) completed the erection of the medium-pressure steam manifold of the waste heat boiler for units 1 and 2 of Huadian Nanning New Energy Company Limited's (HNNEC) (Nanning, Guangxi) 180-megawatt (MW) Huanancheng Distributed Energy Station in Nanning on November 14, 2012, according to an announcement from TEPC on November 15.
The medium-pressure steam manifold erected measures 7,200 by 1,600 by 60 millimeters, with a total weight of 21 metric tons. The erection of the steam manifold has created the condition for the erection of the pipeline works for the boiler.
As the first demonstrative project of the $1.64 billion clean energy package signed between China Huadian New Energy Development Company Limited (Beijing) and the municipal government of Nanning, the Huadian Huanancheng Distributed Energy Station is the first gas-fired distributed energy demonstrative project in southwest China's Guangxi autonomous region, and one of the most important energy projects to be invested in by China Huadian Corporation in Guangxi.
According to plans, the project will be furnished with three sets of 60-MW, combined-cycle units, together with a 110-kilovolt substation and associated heat/cold supply pipeline works. Total investment in the project will be about $132 million.
The project is located at the western side of Renhe Road in the Shajing Industrial Park of Jiangnan District, Nanning City. In July 2011, the project received final approval from the Development and Reform Commission of Guangxi autonomous region. Site leveling began in August 2011. Through public bidding, the TEPC won the construction and erection contract for the project in September 2011. Construction of main works of the project began on October 18, 2011.
According to the schedule, the first unit of the project will begin operations at the end of 2012. Upon completion, the project will supply cold and heat to enterprises in the industrial park, such as South China City and Foxconn, and play an important demonstrative role for the energy structure improvement, as well as the development of gas-fired distributed energy in Guangxi.
