U.S. August LNG Exports Show Rebound - Exports of U.S. liquefied natural gas bounced higher in August as output from the country's second-largest export facility rose following an outage and maintenance activities at other plants wound down, preliminary data from financial firm LSEG showed on Tuesday. Exports of the superchilled fuel rose to 7.48 million metric tons (MT) in August, up from the 6.69 MT in July, which marked the second-lowest monthly exports of the year, the LSEG data showed. Chevron Begins Effort to Boost Output at Two Gulf of Mexico Fields - Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) (San Ramon, California) said on Tuesday it had started water injection operations at the company's Jack/St. Malo and Tahiti fields in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, to boost oil and natural gas recovery. Since the fields started production in 2014, Jack/St. Malo have cumulatively produced almost 400 million gross barrels of oil equivalent (boe), the company said in a release. The water injections would add nearly 175 million boe to St. Malo field's gross ultimate recovery. (Chevron)

Voyager Midstream Acquires Some Phillips 66 NatGas Assets - Voyager Midstream Holdings (Houston, Texas), a portfolio firm of Pearl Energy Investments, said on Tuesday it has acquired some natural gas gathering and processing assets from Phillips 66 (NYSE:PSX) (Houston, Texas) to boost its presence in the Haynesville Shale. Voyager said the assets are located in Panola, Rusk and Harrison counties in Texas and Caddo Parish in Louisiana. Voyager did not provide the deal value. (Reuters)
