SUGAR LAND--July 9, 2013--Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The U.S. nuclear power industry faces "massive challenges over the next three to four years," Brock Ramey, Industrial Info's Manager for North American Power, said in an interview. "There will not be another new unit built for at least three years, possibly longer. Natural gas would have to sell for $8 to $9 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) for new-build nuclear to be economically viable."
