Nebraska's Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Station Shuts Down Temporarily
SUGAR LAND--March 18, 2014--Researched by Industrial Information Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Station, which is located in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, has been shut down following an automatic reactor trip. It resulted from a turbine trip, which was initiated by a loss of stator cooling water. The station is owned by Omaha Public Power District.
