China to Increase Renewables in Power Mix by 2020

BEIJING--August 25, 2014--Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--China plans to increase the portion of renewable energy in its power portfolio by 2020. Installed conventional hydropower capacity will reach about 350 gigawatts (GW), while wind and solar power will total more than 200 GW and 100 GW, respectively, National Energy Administration (NEA) Director Wu Xin Xiong said during a recent energy planning conference.
