Turkey's Koç Holding Acquires 49.6% Share in AES Entek Enerji, as AES Quits Turkey

ISTANBUL--October 22, 2014--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Turkey's biggest conglomerate, Koc Holding (BIST:KCHOL) (Istanbul, Turkey), and its subsidiary, Aygaz, have agreed to acquire U.S. energy firm AES Corporation's (NYSE:AES) (Arlington, Virginia) 49.6% stake in AES Entek Elektrik Uretimi, a joint venture with Koc-Aygaz. According to a company statement, Koc Holding and Aygaz will pay $125 million for the stake.
