First Unit of Zhongtai Chemical's Power Station for Calcium Carbide Project Begins Operations
BEIJING--October 17, 2012--Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--Following the connection to the grid on September 14, 2012, the first unit of Xinjiang Zhongtai Chemical (Group) Company Limited's (Urumqi, Xinjiang) 600-megawatt (MW) power station for its 1 million-metric-ton (MMT) Calcium Carbide Project passed the 72+24-hour, continuous, full-load trial operation and was handed over for commercial operations on September 27, 2012, according to a recent announcement from Central Southern Electric Power Design Institute (CSEPDI) (Wuhan, Hubei), the general contractor of the project and a regional subsidiary of China Power Engineering Consulting Corporation (CPECC) (Beijing).
