SUGAR LAND--July 7, 2017--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Industrial Info is tracking $3.24 billion in U.S. wind power projects that are planned to kick off in the third quarter of 2017. Wind energy producers are eager to kick off construction on projects this year in order to receive 80% of the 2.3-cents-per-kilowatt-hour production tax credit before it steps down 60% for projects started in 2018. The Southwest region, with $1.23 billion in planned third-quarter wind project starts, leads the country in terms of value, followed by the Midwest region, with $965 million in planned starts.
