Ontario's Renewables Buildout Helps Province Transition to Coal-Free Future
SUGAR LAND--May 20, 2014--Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--A renewable energy buildout is under way in Ontario to offset the province's loss of coal-fired power. With the conversion of the Thunder Bay Generating Station to biomass, Ontario no longer generates any electricity from coal. Ontario is the first North American province or state to generate none of its power from coal.
