World Bank Backs Egypt's 1,950-Megawatt Supercritical Helwan Plant
JOHANNESBURG--July 17, 2013--Written by Richard Finlayson, Senior International Editor for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The World Bank has approved $585.4 million in funding for the 1,950-megawatt (MW) Helwan South power station in Egypt, which will provide 10% of Egypt's additional power generation capacity through 2018.
