Florida Greenlights Two More Gas-Fired Power Projects

SUGAR LAND--August 8, 2018--Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Unlike California, Arizona and some other states, Florida has continued its embrace gas-fired power generation. Earlier this year, the state's utility regulators approved construction of two new gas-fired plants, totaling more than 1,600 megawatts (MW), that will be built either by Seminole Electric Cooperative (Tampa, Florida) or for its benefit.
