Cheniere Energy has received approval from the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to introduce feed gas into its 4.5 million-metric-ton-per-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) Train 1 at Corpus Christi, Texas. The train is expected to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2019. Industrial Info is tracking more than $35.6 billion in active projects involving Cheniere. Also last week, Cheniere announced it has signed a 25-year sales and purchase agreement with CPC Corporation of Taiwan for 2 million metric tons of LNG per year.
