Does the Thunder Horse discovery spell more capex in the Gulf of Mexico? Industrial Info is tracking the entire trail of infrastructure where potential capital could be spent, from the platform all the way to the refinery.
Industrial Info's latest 2018 production figures at The Thunder Horse Platform indicate the platform is producing 135,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) of crude oil out of its 250,000 BBL/d capacity (just above 54% capacity). The crude oil travels in two offshore pipelines (the Endymion offshore crude oil lines and the Proteus crude oil pipeline offshore) and arrives at the Clovelly crude oil salt dome storage terminal. The crude oil finally arrives at the Norco Refinery by way of the 88 Clovelly-Norco line.
