Latin America Hosts More than $57 Billion in Power Projects Under Construction, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Industrial Info is tracking about 430 capital power projects that are under construction in Latin America, with a total investment of more than $57.5 billion. Most of the investment amount is for grassroot new-build and in-plant capacity ($52.37 billion), but it also includes $2.78 billion for in-plant modernizations, upgrades and automation; $303 million for existing infrastructure rebuilds and renovation of existing plants; and $2.12 billion for other in-plant capital projects such as combined-cycle conversions or repowering.
