China's investment in Wind Power Jumps 140.9% in First Two Months of 2020, an Industrial Info Market Brief

In the first two months of 2020, China's investment in wind power reached $1.14 billion, a jump of 140.9% year over year, while the overall investment in power generation reached $3.1 billion in the same period, a drop of 10.9% year over year. The investment in hydropower reached $0.93 billion, a drop of 40.9% year over year; that of thermal power reached $0.49 billion, a drop of 22.3% year over year; that of nuclear power reached $0.41 billion, a drop of 40.4% year over year, according to the Instant Statistic Report by China's National Energy Administration.

China's investment in power transmission and distribution sector reached $1.97 billion, a drop of 43.5% year over year. As of the end of February 2020, China's installed capacity of wind power reached 211.85 gigawatts, an increase of 13.2% year over year.
