Oman to Invest $2 Billion in Mining Projects by 2023, an Industrial Info Market Brief
Mining projects with a total investment value of more than $2 billion will be implemented in Oman by 2023. The investment opportunities mainly aim at increasing mining production from 100 million tons per year to 147 million tons per year and will include the mining of gypsum, limestone, gabbro and aggregates, kaolin and silica quartz.
Investment also includes an array of business opportunities at the upstream and downstream ends of copper, chromium and ferrochrome commodities, creating approximately 1,600 direct job opportunities for Omanis.
