Mexico's Palm Oil Industry Set to Grow With Further Investments, an Industrial Info Market Brief
Mexico's palm oil industry continues to show growth, with several projects in development over the next two years. Projects include Agroindustrias de Mapastepec SA de CV's (Grupo Oleomex) expansion projects in Mapastepec, Jalapa and Palenque, with investments of more than $30 million. Prolade plans to implement a grassroot project in Huimanguillo (and a potential second plant in Tabasco state), which will require a $32 million investment to process up to 112,000 tons per year of palm in its first phase.
