Attachment: Pharma
India's pharmaceuticals industry, which is currently growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7-8%, could potentially grow to $120-130 billion by 2030 at an accelerated rate of 11-12%, said the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA) in a report, titled "Indian Pharmaceutical Industry: The Way Forward- Vision 2030."
The state-sponsored universal health program, "Ayushman Bharat," is likely to be the key in driving this growth. This phenomenal growth would need massive capacity expansions via implementation of large-scale capital projects as well as plant upgrades. Industrial Info is tracking 609 capital projects in India's pharmaceutical and biotech sector, with a total investment value of $6.16 billion. Click here for the list of projects.
