Middle East Refiners Plan to Add 836,000 Barrels per Day of Hydrocracking Capacity by End of 2025, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Middle East refiners have plans to increase utilization of the bottom-of-the-barrel by adding 836,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) of hydrocracking capacity by the end of 2025. The major capacity addition of 270,000 BBL/d is expected by the end of 2019.
Iran plans to add 148,000 BBL/d by 2023, and Bahrain plans to add 122,000 BBL/d by mid-2022. Saudi Arabia will install a 109,000 BBL/d hydrocracker by the end of 2019 and expects to add a 70,000-BBL/d hydrocracker by 2024.
