Japan's JFE Steel Corporation Introduces Converter-Type Dephosphorization Process at Kurashiki Plant, an Industrial Info Market Brief

JFE Steel Corporation plans to introduce a converter-type dephosphorization process at its No. 2 steelmaking plant in the Kurashiki area of Japan to cope with an increase in the amount of impurities (phosphorus) removal that accompanies the increase in the ratio of high-grade steel. The operation is scheduled to start in May 2021. The investment amount is 10.5 billion yen (US$95.6 million). Click here for the project report.
