Axens Supplies Technology for Linear Alpha-Olefin Units in Russia, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Baltic Chemical Plant LLC (LLC "BCP"), a subsidiary of JSC RusGazDobycha, has selected Axens technology for the linear alpha-olefin (LAO) units that will make up part of a multi-billion-dollar gas chemical complex near Ust-Luga village, Russia.
Axens will provide AlphaButol technology for the production of 1-butene via two units, each with a capacity of 60,000 metric tons per year; and AlphaHexol technology for the production of 50,000 metric tons per year of 1-hexene.
The new complex will process ethane and annually produce 3 million tons of polyethylene.
