Indian Fertilizer Plant Suffers Explosion, an Industrial Info Market Brief
A major explosion occurred in the ammonia and urea plant of Brahamputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) in the Namrup district of Assam, India. The explosion majorly affected the ammonia-urea Unit 2 and destroyed most of the machinery. This mishap forced the BVFCL to make an unplanned shutdown of approximately 70 days for the unit, while ammonia-urea Unit 3 operations is running smoothly.
